Fall and Winter 08

I know, I know. It's been way too long since I've posted a blog but life has been busy with work, taking care of our little one, Jason leaving for school the second I get in, prepping for Keira Lee and trying to get some downtime in there somewhere. So for all of those who look in hopes of an update. Here it is. Simple and sweet. A few of our treasured moments from the past few months. Jaylee is now 8 months with two little teeth ( and from the way she's waking up at night, working on a few more). She's good eater, almost crawling (gets about two lengths, then plops), loves her snugglies and her toys, is babbling away and is our greatest joy.

At Thanksgiving, we had my whole family out to Vegas and had a blast. It was busy, but great to have everyone here. My sis took some new family pictures considering the last ones were taken when Jaylee was 5 weeks old...they were way past due. They turned out beautifully. She always does such a fantastic job. thanks Darcy!

Merry Christmas from our best gift ever....

Jaylee 'experiencing' her first snow in Vegas....and not so sure about it.

5 months pregnant with Keira Lee on Christmas Day. Our family on Christmas day. Jaylee loved the paper and bows more than the toys ( for now). It was fun to spend a quiet day at home with our family since we are usually so busy with work, school or misc getting ready for our new little miracle.

There will be more to come, but here is a start! Happy Holidays and a big hug to all my dear friends and family! God bless

Tahoe in August

We took a big road trip to Nevada City, Auburn and Tahoe where Jaylee had several firsts. Firsttime to roll over with Grammy and Momma to watch. First time to meet the Liden clan. First time to smile for the camera. We had a great time in Tahoe with the whole Liden family and Jaylee handled the chaos of the cousins very well.

June Fun in the "sun" in San Fran and Sunnyvale

For Jaylee's 11th week of life, we took a family trip driving to San Jose/San Francisco for a long weekend. Jaylee was a good little traveler...thankfully...since we'll be taking another 9 hour drive next month for the Liden family vacation.

San Francisco was a great time--Lombard, Fisherman's Wharf, Alcatraz and Ghiradelli Square, then over the Golden Gate and up through Marin to meet with the Belleza's.

Sunday was a great day in Sunnyvale with family for a "welcome to the world party." The Carter house is coming along with their renovations...it looks fantastic.

The Carter cousins

Everyone enjoyed getting Jaylee to smile

4th of July

Jaylee celebrated her first 4th of July with some friends of ours at a BBQ. Everyone loved her cool sunglasses to help with the glare of the hot Vegas sun.

Jaylee's big adventure and photo shoot

Early June, Jaylee turned 5 weeks old and we decided to take a road trip. She was a good little traveler (thankfully) and we had a very busy weekend with a Dodger game (which she slept through), a photo shoot (which she was awake for) and a visit with her cousins, Auntie, Nonni and Papa as well as an additional road trip to Los Osos to meet her great grandmother, great aunt and uncle. Here are some of the pics from the trip. Auntie Darcy did a fantastic job taking the pictures and her cousins Tyler and Caleb love her and were so sweet with her. Full of kisses and entertainment for her. They were good helpers. And according to Tyler, she said her 1st word to him 'hi'. .....but "when can she play?"

Our first blog

With the few minutes I have, I thought I would get our blog started to keep in touch with family and friends as our relationship has transitioned from a couple to a family of three.

Jaylee Rae Carter was born on May 1st, 2008 at 7:57 PM by c-section weighing 5 lbs, 15 ounces and measuring 19 inches long. She was a long awaited answer to prayers and a true blessing to us.

I hope you enjoy this blog as we add pictures and stories of our family's adventures.
